Kristari began in 1977 out of the love of two dogs, Kristi and Ari, both Siberians and both with obedience degrees, owned and loved by me, Sharon Osharow. I purchased Ari from Kaila Kennels and started going to dog shows with them just to have some fun and see what it was all about. WELL, that did the trick! I couldn’t get enough of the showing and we all had so much fun at the shows that I was hooked. That is when I started showing dogs!

In 1980 I went to Innisfree Kennels to work and learn for 4 years and was the best experience I could ever ask for. I learned how to care for, breed and show the dogs from the experts and had so much fun at the same time. I could never have accomplished what I have without that experience and will always be grateful for all their help and guidance.

In 1984 I left there and went back to California with my 12 dogs and set up a kennel in Pacifica. My whole breeding/ showing program was based on the Innisfree dogs I had brought back with me. One of the dogs was Ch. Innisfree’s Persian Rugs who to this day was still one of my best bitches ever…..pretty as a picture, beautiful moving and the happiest girl in the world and a nice producer!

In 1993 I got a black and white male puppy from Innisfree that was as cute as could be…named him Innisfree’s Chips Ahoy and never realized how much he would play such a big role in my kennel. He won the National Specialty puppy sweeps in 1994 and went on to win specialties and turned out to be my top producing dog ever! He was adored by many and to this day people always ask me about him and still remember him so well. Adding to my success was my own breeding, Ch. Kristari’s Firechief winning the National Specialty in 1999, a breeders dream come true!

In 1998 I decided that I wanted to expand my kennel and moved to Tennessee where I bought 5 acres and set up shop. In 2000 I met young Siberian enthusiast from Australia named Monica Rear who came to my house to see the dogs. We hit it off really well and by the next year she came to live with me and become part of Kristari. Her enthusiasm for the dogs was unparalleled and together we were able to continue with great success.
